Why Ford Can Say It

Recently Ford produced a commercial that hit into the heart of what many Americans feel about the auto bailout.

Watch.

It’s easy to understand why this commercial hit such a chord with the American people.

Starting from George W Bush’s presidency and into the current Obama Administration, Americans have been against the bail out of the auto industry.  GM employees, currently,  209,000.  If the credo exalted by many union-backed politicians said  that a “Vote against the auto bails is un-American.”

Then I humbly submit that these politicians wouldn’t know a real American if they were slapped by one on the face.

What we see here is a simply an assumption that real Americans are stupid.  All those people in fly-over country are just a bunch of dumb, uneducated hicks.  And while it’s true that maybe most people in fly-over country don’t know what Keyneisan Economics are or have ivy league Masters degrees, adorning their walls, they do know a line of bullshit (BS) when they see one.

The US Taxpayer pumped $80 billion into the GM to save (drum roll please) 105,000 jobs.  What’s even better is that the Tax Payers are only going to lose $14 Billion.  And we’re told that’s a good thing.  What is that smell?  Smells like BS to me.

GM’s Union only agreed to five up their Job’s Bank program after the Government agreed to bail them out.  The Job’s Bank program paid 1,600 workers to stay home and do nothing.  Do you smell that?

Claiming that 105,000 union jobs were created while millions of other lost their jobs rings hollow and smells of . . . you guessed it!  BS!

Real Americans understand the value of an honest day’s work.  Real Americans understand that when you fail, you pick yourself back up and move forward.  Real Americans understand that the government doesn’t solve problems; it subsidizes them.  Real Americans, since the founding of this country, understand that you have to work hard to get what you want.

That is why Ford can run this commercial.
